We originally come from Belgium, Roger worked for more than 20years in the fashion industry and Eric as chief nurse in an university hospital. Our dream was to open a bed and breakfast in Greece. After a long prospection we discovered Sotires, an old Buddhist center for sale. We passed the blue entrance door and we immediately knew that this place will be our home in the sun...
Sotires is a small village located 5km from the capital of Paros island Parikia. It is an old farm house with typical Cycladic architecture. The house is like a little traditional village complex and our garden of 2500sqm, has a rich vegetation and 18 olive trees. The view is amazing to Antiparos and the surfer beach. The nearest beach is at 1km – 20min walking distance.
In "Sotires" we offer you a quiet stay, authentic and serene. Here is where nature is combined with simple but stylish and refined comfort. A delightful experience. The Ressourcing is assured thanks to a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with respect for difference and the spirit of community and family life..We also adore our cats and dogs!
Our rooms can accomodate single, couples and families. All the rooms are different and enjoy a private bathroom with shower and with patio or terrace.
The pool, constructed in 2010 measures 8x4m and is 1.7m deep and is open 24/24h for our customers. This is a relaxing pool so respect the quietness of everyody. In the pool bar we serve the buffet breakfast and we also invite you for a fabulous sunset drink and sometimes for a barbecue.

There are no direct international flights to Paros and no flights between the islands, only to and from Athens or Thessaloniki. Athens International Airport is the most popular starting point for getting to Paros, although there are direct flights to, and ferry links from Mykonos and Santorini Islands. The quickest link from Athens to Paros is by an Olympic Air flight, skyexpress or astra airlines. The flight time is about 45 minutes and in the summer there are usually 14 flights a day, better to book early because the flights are quickly full. The best ferry route is from Piraeus, transfer from the airport by taxi, metro or best by bus(X96). Regular door to door service for about 6 euros, just as fast as taxi when the roads are busy and much easier than the metro. The alternative is from Rafina, closer to the airport (bus or taxi) but less choice of ferries. Ferries come in 3 styles. The big more luxurious car ferries such as Blue Star, the high speed car ferries, at about twice the price, and the small, fast, passenger only ferries (hope for a still day!) A case of biggest is best, less affected by weather and more passenger capacity, you are almost guaranteed a ticket except maybe in August, then you can book online in advance. There are many ticket sites (search for greek ferries) but you could start at Ferriesingreece Should you be travelling by car, usually via Italy, there are ferries to Patras from all east coast Italian ports from Venice in the north to Brindisi in the south. The drive from Patras to Piraeus will take at least 3 hours. Paros is not a big island, the perimeter road is not much more than 50 km, there are buses, taxis and local boat services. The bus stop passes within a few hundred metres of our house . For convenience we would recommend hiring personal transport of some sort. Bikes, Scooters, quads, buggies and cars are all available, During the high season it is recommended to book it some month before, but in the busy months you may find limited choice.
At 1km from the sea and the beaches (pounta kite surf beach) At 4km from Parikia easy to rent scooter or car at Parikia. Several sites to visit like butterfly valley and archeological sites Parikia – main town is the most important city of the island with a lot of restaurants, pubs, bars, night clubs, shops…. with a central port and marina, the old city is worth to visit The most important church is the church Ekatonpiliani (100 doors and windows) inspired from the blue mosk of Istanbul A walk along the sea is worth to do to admire the sunset. There are a lot of music and artistic events, most important is on the 15 august for the celabration of Holy Mary A 15km from Naoussa Little fishermen port, Naoussa is at 10km from Parikia in summer it is very crowdy, and is considered as one of the most beautyfull village of the Cyclades Naoussa is authentic, with the white and blue houses, beautyfull churches, narrow streets with jasmine and bougainvilliers, a little port with cafés and restaurant where you can taste the fresh fished octopuss with a glass of ouzo.. and if you are lucky you will meet some celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Giorgio Armani and of course Stephane Bern.. Near the center you can visit an old venitian castle Beautyfull beaches are nearby such as kolimbithyres, agios Ioannis and Santa Maria there you can practice nautical sports like surf , jetski, …Not to miss is Kimissis tis Theotokou at the highiest mountain of Naoussa with a beautyfull view on the bay Agios Nikolas is from the 13century and on the 23 august there is a big celebration for the assumption of Holy Maria At 4km , Aliki in the south of the island! it is a small authentic fishermen port with long beaches but becoming, the last years, the new place to be without the crowdeness of Naoussa.
